It acts chiefly on the pneumo-gastric nerve; producing gastro intestinal disturbances; AND RESPIRATORY AFFECTIONS, with CONTINUOUS NAUSEA. Discharges are foamy and profuse. BRIGHT RED, GUSHING HAEMORRHAGES;with nausea. Nausea and shortness of breath usually accompany most of the complaints. Convulsions; infantile, body rigid, stretched out, followed by spasmodic jerking of arms towards each other. Awkward, stumbles against everything. Tetanic spasms from swallowing tobacco. Convulsions; in whooping cough; from suppressed exanthema; from indigestible food. It is indicated in fat children and adults who are feeble and catch cold in warm moist weather. Ill effects of vexation, reserved displeasure. Injuries, suppressed eruptions. Quinine; morphia; indigestible food; loss of blood. Over- sensitive to heat and cold. Opisthotonos and emprosthotonos.

Take 15 drops in half cup of water 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician

  • Adapted to cases where the gastric symptoms predominate; tongue clean or slightly coated.
  • In all diseases with constant and continual nausea.
  • Nausea: with profuse saliva; vomiting of white, glairy mucus in large quantities, without relief; sleepy afterwards; worse from stooping; the primary effects of tobacco; of pregnancy.
  • Stomach: feels relaxed, as if hanging down; clutching, squeezing, griping, as from a hand, each finger sharply pressing into intestines; worse from motion.
  • Flatulent, cutting colic about umbilicus.
  • Stool: grassy-green; of white mucus; bloody; fermented, foamy, slimy, like frothy molasses.
  • Autumnal dysentry; cold nights, after hot days.
  • Asiatic cholera, first symptoms, where nausea and vomiting predominate.
  • Haemorrhage: active or passive, bright-red from all the orifices of the body; uterine, profuse, clotted; heavy, oppressed breathing during; stitches from navel to uterus.
  • Cutting pains across abdomen from left to right.
  • Cough: dry spasmodic, constricted, asthmatic.
  • Difficult breathing from least exercise; violent dyspnoea, with wheezing and anxiety about the stomach.
  • Whooping-cough: child loses breath, turns pale, stiff and blue; strangling, with gagging and vomiting of mucus; bleeding from nose or mouth.
  • Cough, with rattling of mucus in bronchi when inspiring; threatened suffocation from mucus.
  • Pains as if bones were all torn to pieces.
  • Intermittent fever: in beginning of irregular cases; with nausea, or from gastric disturbance; after abuse of, or suppression from quinine.
  • Intermittent dyspepsia, every other day at same hour; fever, with persistent nausea.
  • Oversensitive to heat and cold.
  • Clean tongue with moist mouth and increased secretion of saliva.
  • Persistent nausea and vomiting of food, bile, blood and mucus. 
  • Uncontrollable spasmodic cough with every breath. Much mucus in the chest with wheeze and rales. 
  • Profuse and early menses with bright red bleeding and nausea. 

MODALITIES:

  • Worse: from veal, moist warm wind, lying down.
  • Better: Open air. Rest. Pressure. Closing eyes. Cold drinks.
