Acute feverish inflammations of the fibrous tissues and the serous membranes.

General infection with pain in the limbs, sensation of prostration, dull head-aches, restlessness.

Dry and burning skin, acute pains.

Feverish catarrh of the mucosa of the upper air-passages, rhinopharyngitis, influenza bronchitis, pneumonia, inflammation of the serous membranes, pleurisy, pericarditis, peritonitis, irritation of the peritoneum during inflammatory processes of the abdominal organs.

Baptisia: Typhic fever, stupor and lethargy, cold, irritation of the mucous membranes. Chill, with rheumatic pains and soreness all over body. Heat all over, with occasional chills. Chill about 11 am. Typhus fever. Shipboard fever.

Bryonia: Catarrhal fever, headaches, piercing pains, inflammation of the serous tissues. Pulse full, hard, tense, and quick. Chill with external coldness, dry cough, stitches. Internal heat. Sour sweat after slight exertion. Easy, profuse perspiration. Rheumatic and typhoid marked by gastro-hepatic complications.

Camphora: Analeptic, calmative. Heat of the body, with redness of face, esp. in the cheeks, and in the lobe of the ear.General heat, which becomes excessive on walking.Heat with distended veins, aggravated from every movement.Pulse remarkably small and slow, or excessively quick and full.

Causticum: Sensation of rawness of mucosa, hollow cough, weakness of the sphincter of bladder. Very drowsy; can hardly keep awake. Nocturnal sleeplessness, with dry heat, inquietude. 

Eucalyptus: General agitation and accelerated breathing, weariness and rigidity of limbs, headaches, fever. Elevation of temperature. Continued and typhoid fevers. Scarlet fever (protective and curative). Discharges show a tendency to foulness, high temperature, accelerated but not strong pulse. Use the tincture.

Eupatorium perfoliatum: Fever with sensation of prostration. Catarrhal inflammation of the upper air-passages with tendency to cough and sensation of rawness of mucosa. Perspiration relieves all symptoms except headache. Chill between 7 and 9 am preceeded by thirst with great thirst with great soreness and aching of the bones. Nausea, vomiting of bile at close of chill or hot stage; throbbing headache. Knows chill is coming on because he cannot drink enough.

Ferrum phosphoricum: Remedy for fever and inflammation, low pulse, rush towards the head. Especially effective in inflammations of the upper respiratory tracts and in bronchopneumonia. Chill daily at 1 pm. All catarrhal and inflammatory fevers; first stage.

Gelsemium: Congestive headaches, sleeplessness, shivering and prostration. Pulse slow, full, soft, compressible. Chilliness up and down back. Heat and sweat stages, long and exhausting. Dumb-ague, with much muscular soreness, great prostration, and violent headache. Chill, without thirst, along spine; wave-like, extending upward from sacrum to occiput.

Sabadilla: Convulsic stimulus of the sneezing centre, burning cold stimulus of the coughing centre, stitches on the chest. Heat in head and face; hands and feet icy cold, with chill. Lachrymation during paroxysm. Thirstless.

  •  Acute illness with feverish tendency: 10 drops in some water every 15 to 30 minutes or as prescribed by the physician 
  •  As soon as fever is abating (generally after 1-2 days) and perspiration appears, take the medicine every 1-2 hours 10-15 drops or as prescribed by the physician 
  •  When fever has gone, take during several days every 2-3 hours 10 drops in some water or as prescribed by the physician 

 

 Prevention in influenza epidemics: 3-4 times a day 10-15 drops in some water or as prescribed by the physician 
  •  In acute infection with high fever and inflammation localized mainly in the mucosa of the head (redness, delirium, conjunctivitis), use R1.
  •  In bronchitis: see Jutussin® drops R9 and syrup R8.
  •  In pleuritis: see R24.
  •  Involvement of sinuses: see R49. 
  •  Above remedies are administered in addition to or in alteration with R6 depending on the symptomatology.
  •  Chickenpox: administer additionally R68.
