Dr. Reckeweg Antimonium Crudum 30 CH (11 ml)

The choice of this remedy is determined by the symptoms which develop in mental and gastric sphere. As the meaning of the last word of its name implies, the Ant-c patient is crude mentally and physically. Patient is a Gross feeder-a glutton; he eats beyond the capacity of his digestion or without discrimination; therefore the mental and skin symptoms are due to the GASTRO-INTESTINAL DISTURBANCE. It produces lumpy effects; stools are watery, containing lumps; leucorrhoea is watery, mixed with lumps; lumps appear upon the skin; nails become thick, distorted and lumpy. There is a tendency to formation of cracks in canthi; nostrils, angles of the mouth. Tendency to grow fat. Mentally the patient is either sentimental esp. in moonlight, and twilight, during diarrhoea and before menses; or cross and touchy. It produces strange absence of pain, where it could be expected e.g. bed sores. It is suitable to infants and children; also to elderly persons and young persons who have a tendency to grow fat. When symptoms group recur, they change their locality or go from one side to the other; they recur every five, six or twelve weeks. Gout recedes and stomach is affected. Nervous symptoms such as restlessness, twitches in the muscles, and disposition to start on slightest noise are also found. Ill effects of disappointed love and suppressed eruptions.  Excessive irritability and fretfulness, together with a thickly-coated white tongue, are true guiding symptoms to many forms of disease calling for this remedy. All the conditions are aggravated by heat and cold bathing. Cannot bear heat of sun. Chronic complaints traceable to suppression of eruptions or ulcers. Anasarca. Marasmus Trouble from swimming or falling into water. Rheumatoid arthritis. He is always sleepy and weary.

Anus, irritation of. Callosities. Catarrh. Chorea. Constipation. Corns. Diarrhoea. Dyspepsia. Eczema. Feet, sore and horny. Fever. Gum-rash. Lung affections. Nails, degeneration of. Nettle-rash. Piles. Prolapsus recti. Red gum. Remittent fever. Stomach, disordered. Sunstroke. Tendons inflamed. Tongue coated. Voice, low. Warts. Whooping-cough.

Take 5 drops in half cup of water 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician OR

Medicate the globules and take 4-6 globules 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

• Old people with morning diarrhoea, suddenly become constipated or alternate diarrhoea and constipation
• Sensitive to cold worse after taking cold.
• Great sadness with weeping. Loathing of life.
• Headache from bathing in cold water or from disordered stomach, worse candy or acid wines, fruits, fats, ascending stairs. Tendency to take cold about head. Heaviness in forehead, with vertigo, nausea and nosebleed. Itching of the head, with falling of hair. Headache after stopped coryza.
• Tongue coated thick white, as if whitewashed.
• Cracks in corners of mouth
• Loss of appetite. Desire for acids, pickles. Thirst in evening and night. Eructation tasting of the ingesta. 
• Diarrhœa alternates with constipation, especially in old people. Diarrhœa after acids, sour wine, baths, overeating; slimy, flatulent stools.
• Aversion to cold bathing
• Longing for acids and pickles.
• Disposition to abnormal growth of skin eg warts, corns, thickening skin in eczema
• Finger nails do not grow rapidly, crushed nails grow in splints like warts with horny spots.
• Eczema with gastric derangements. 
• Constant discharge of flatus up and down for years, belching, tasting of ingesta.
• Thick, hard, honey-colored scabs. Urticaria ; measle-like eruption. Itching when warm in bed.
• Loss of voice from becoming over-heated.
• Large horny corns on soles of feet, very sensitive when walking especially on stone pavements.
• Cannot bear the heat of sun, worse from over-exertion in the sun.
• Cough worse coming in warm room; with burning in chest. First attack of cough is always most severe, the subsequent attacks become weaker and weaker. Looking into fire worse cough.

MODALITIES:

• Worse:  in evening, from heat, acids, wine, water, and washing. Wet poultices. 
• Better: in open air, during rest. Moist warmth.
