Silver affects NERVES causing convulsive and spasmodic effects. It acts upon joints and their component elements, bones, condyles, cartilages and ligaments. Secretions of mucous membranes are THICK, grey or tenacious; or like boiled starch. It THICKENS the tissue esp, cartilages, tarsi, LARYNX is also prominently affected. Here the small blood vessels become closed up or withered and carious affections result. They come on insidiously, lingering, but progress Symptoms appear insidiously; slowly, lingering but progressing, deeply penetrating. Pains gradually increase, become violent then suddenly cease, worse by touch. Pains are accompanied by polyuria. Painless twitching or electric-like shocks. Loss of control over MIND and body. Cramps in muscles; limbs feel powerless. In epilepsy, the attacks are followed by delirious rage, jumping about and striking those near. Arthralgia. Bones; painful, tender.
