Description

It is a remedy for coryza, bronchial catarrh, nervous and rheumatic disturbances. General feeling of dullness and lassitude as when a cold is coming. Rheumatic, stiffness. Nervous, sense of levitation of different parts. Painful dry mucous membranes. Diagonal pains. Hysteria; chorea; after loss of blood. Ill effects of falls, haemorrhages. Dull, heavy pressure in forehead. Catarrhal conjunctivitis, etc. Rheumatic stiffness of neck. There is a general feeling of dullness and severe bodyache, as when a chillness all over the body occurs

Indications

Angina pectoris. Anus, pain in. Asthma. Bronchitis. Catarrh. Clergyman's sore throat. Cold. Cough. Diabetes. Diaphragm, rheumatism of. Diarrhoea. Glands, swollen. Hay-fever. Headache. Housemaid's knee. Hysteria. Influenza. Laryngitis. Levitation. Measles, cough of. Migraine. Milk, scanty. Neuralgia. Ozaena. Phthisis. Post-nasal catarrh. Pott's disease. Rheumatism. Seminal emissions. Sick headache. Sleeplessness. Syphilis.

Dosage

Take 5 drops in half cup of water 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician OR

Medicate the globules and take 4-6 globules 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

Action of Medicine

  • Dull headache, with dull heavy pressure in forehead and root of nose. Catarrhal headache before discharge appears. 
  • Feeling of fullness at the root of the nose Atrophic rhinitis. Dry scabs, especially in evening and night. 
  • Throat raw and sore. Dropping of mucus at posterior side. Dry, hawking cough during night. 
  • Cough after measles. Worse towards evening and when tired.
  • Inflammation of trachea leads to facilitates expectoration. Loose cough in morning.
  • Burning of eyelids with soreness of eyeballs on closing lids or turning eyes.
  • Constant need to blow the nose but no discharge.
  • Coryza which dries up soon, forming scabs difficult to dislodge.
  • Hay fever, incessant sneezing.
  • Headache before catarrhal discharge appears. 
  • Sleepless from nervousness; from cough; after surgical operations.

MODALITIES:

  • Worse: Night. Lying down. Motion. Change of temperature.
  • Better: Free discharges. Open air.
