Common Name:  The German Viper

Viper poisoning causes a temporary increase in reflexes, paresis supervenes, a paraplegia of the lower extremities extending upwards. Resembles acute ascending paralysis of Landry. Has special action on kidneys and induces haematuria. Cardiac dropsy. Indicated in inflammation of veins with great swelling; bursting sensation. Enlargement of liver. Ailments of menopause. Oedema of glottis. Poly-neuritis, polio-myelitis. It affects the blood and blood- vessels esp. VEINS; causing inflammation of veins and HAEMORRHAGIC TENDENCY. Paralysis; ascending; paraplegia; of foot. Multiple neuritis. Poliomyelitis. Bursting feeling. Climacteric affections. Goitre.

Epistaxis. Goitre. Haemorrhages. Jaundice. Liver, enlargement of. Neurasthenia. Phlebitis. Senility, premature. Tongue, swelling of. Varicosis.

Take 5 drops in half cup of water 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician OR

Medicate the globules and take 4-6 globules 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

  • Epistaxis; with vertigo; while nursing the child.
  • Tongue swollen, brownish-black, protruding. Lips; blue; swollen. Speech difficult. 
  • Excruciating pain in epigastrium worse pressure.
  • Violent pain in enlarged liver extends to shoulder and hip; jaundice, with fever.
  • Climacteric haemorrhage; flow red with dark clots, not profuse but continuous; with prostration and faintness; from nursing the child.
  • Fullness and unbearable pain as if limb would burst; must keep parts elevated; sits with feet high.
  • Shuffling gait caused by paralysis; of foot. Varicose veins and acute phlebitis.
  • Carbuncles, with bursting sensation. Peeling off in large plates. Lymphangioma.
