Common Name:    Iron

Iron is present in considerable quantity in blood; also in many articles of daily food. It affects the CIRCULATION, producing irregular distribution of blood; congestions, irregular surgings etc. and pulsations It relaxes the blood vessels causing haemorrhages which are bright or with small clots esp. in rapidly growing youth; or the veins dilate, during neuralgia, menses or fever. It is adapted to young; anaemic; pseudo- plethoric persons, who though looking strong are so weak that they are unable even to speak or walk, want to lie down. Pallor of the skin and mucous membranes, alternating with flushes. Dryness; of mouth; of food, vagina etc. Anaemia of young persons, with flushed cheeks but pale lips; delicate girls, constipated with low spirits. Muscles flabby and relaxed. Dropsy or paralysis, after loss of vital fluids; haemorrhages etc. Red faced old men. Rapid emaciation. Nightly pains that compel motion of part. Pressure; on chest, stomach etc. Irritable mind and body. Cachexia. Cracking in joints. Softening of bones. Red parts become pale. Catalepsy. Goitre, exophthalmic from suppressed menses. Spleen, digestion and left deltoid are also affected.

2 to 4 tablets 4 times a day or as prescribed by the physician

  • Irritable;slight noises like crackling of paper drive him to despair.
  • Women who are weak, delicate, chlorotic, yet have a fiery face.
  • Extreme paleness of the face, lips and mucous membranes which become red and flushed on least pain, emoton or exertion. Blushing.
  • Erethitic chlorosis worse in winter.
  • Red parts become white, face, lips, tongue and mucous membrane of mouth.
  • Vertigo with balancing sensation as if on water, on seeing flowing water, when walking over water, as when crossing a bridge
  • Headache with hammering, pulsating pain with congestion and pain extending to teeth and jaws. Painful scalp with pulling of the hair.
  •  Alternate flushing and pallor of the face from least pain, emotion, or exertion. 
  • Abdomen distended with gas with nausea and vomiting immediately after eating.
  • Aversion for sour foods and eggs.
  • Absence of menstruation in the teenage girl 
  • Palpitation and dyspnea with great weakness with inability to do anything 
  • Menses too early, too profuse, too long lasting, with fiery red face, ringing in the ears, intermit 2-3 days and then return, flow pale, watery, debilitating.
  • Haemorrhagic diathesis, blood bright red, coagulates easily.
  • Regurgitation and eructation of food in mouthfuls, without nausea.
  • Canine hunger or loss of appetite with extreme dislike for all food.
  • Vomiting: immediately after midnight, or of ingesta, as soon as food is eaten, leaves table suddenly and with one effort vomits everything eaten, can sit down and eat again.
  • Diarrhoea; undigested stools at night or while eatingg or drinking; palenness with a good appetite.
  • Constipation from intestinal atony, ineffectual urging, stools hard, difficult, followed by backacheor itching pain in rectum, prolapse recti of children, itching of anus at night.
  • Always feels better by walking slowly about, although weakness obliges the patiient to lie down.
  • Cough only in day time, better by lying down, eating.
  • Dropsy after loss of vital fluids, abuse of quinine, suppressed intermittent.

MODALITIES:

  • Better: by walking about, after rising.
  • Worse: from sweating, sitting still, midnight, cold washing and overheating.
